Jay-Z and Jake Gyllenhaal were part of a tight-knit group at the D'usse Cognac launch party at The Standard hotel in New York this week.
But rather than join in the festivities, they stayed in a roped-off section and were deep in conversation as they watched a basketball game on TV. As for what they were talking about, rumour has it that romance might be in the air.
Jake hasn’t had a serious relationship since he was dumped by Reese Witherspoon back in 2009, so some reports are speculating that Jay thinks so highly of the Brokeback Mountain star that he thinks he’d make a good brother-in-law!
Right on cue, Beyoncé’s younger sister Solange arrived with her mum in tow, and the pair joined the party. No word yet on how the introductions went, but what Jay wants, Jay gets!

Lucy Mecklenburgh tweeted her disappointment about not being allowed to go to the bash...
The FHM party earlier this week celebrated the sexiest women in the world, for their annual, er, Sexiest Women in the World issue. Tulisa was named as the top sexy woman, but there were a whole bunch of other British stars on the coveted list too, including TOWIE star Lucy Mecklenburgh.
However, reports have claimed that the Essex babe wasn't actually allowed to go to the party, as Tulisa's 'people' had said that if anybody from TOWIE was at the bash, Tulisa wouldn't go!
A source close to 20-year-old Lucy told the Daily Star: "She was told if she turned up Tulisa wouldn’t be allowed to and they really needed their winner at the event.
"It was obvious the organiser was really embarrassed to make the call."
Lucy had tweeted about her excitement to attend the party: "So flattered that I'm in #FHM100Sexiest in the world !!!! I can't believe it !!! Can't wait for the party tonight!!xx."
She also added that she'd got herself a new dress and couldn't wait to wear it.
However, a while later she posted: "People need to remember where they come from !!!!! I'm soo upset."
The Daily Star also reports the source as saying: "Lucy was told she could go to any hotel, stay the night, enjoy room service and FHM would pick up the bill.
"They even said she could go to the party at 10pm which is when Tulisa was expected to leave.
"It was a massive slap in the face seeing as she had made their list."
Simon Jones - Tulisa's representative - explained the whole situation to the MailOnline: "FHM came to me a while ago asking me to invite my clients to their annual party. Their pitch to ensure some of our clients attended was that they were 're-branding' FHM's image and they were enforcing a ban on the TOWIE cast to up the level of celebrity attending.
"I agreed for some of our clients to attend, but I believe there was some mix up by FHM accidentally inviting some TOWIE cast members, who then had to be uninvited."
However, it seems that Tulisa was none the wiser as she enjoyed her 'sexy' success at the bash alongside her new boyfriend Jack O'Connell.
Eek! We hope this doesn't cause a rift between Tuls and the TOWIE crew - we like them all!
Despite the US TV host's problems conceiving, it seems she's going to become a mother
Giuliana Rancic, one of America's best-loved TV stars, has just overcome breast cancer and now she has come more good news: she's going to become a mum.
The E! News host, who had a double mastectomy at the end of 2011 to help battle the disease, shared her happy news along with husband Bill on the Today show.
The couple are expecting their first baby with the help of a gestational surrogate.
She told the show's host: “We are so thrilled that our prayers have been answered.”
She added: “It was one of the best moments of my life, if not the best moment of my life.”
"So many people have been praying for us and we certainly appreciate all the prayers," Bill chipped in.
"As we said earlier, this is our year - it's the year of the Rancics - and good things, good things are coming."
The couple's child, which is due in late summer, will genetically be their own.
Giuliana, who has hosted the E! channel's popular news show since 2005, added: “To finally get that call from the doctor, it was just another world, another level.”

Her husband Laurence Fox has confirmed she's given birth to their second child...
It's an extra special long weekend for actress Billie Piper and her husband Laurence Fox, who have welcomed their second child into the world.
Laurence confirmed that Billie has given birth to a baby boy. They already have a three-year-old son, Winston.
Writing on Twitter, Laurence said: "One born every minute. We had our minute today. Couldn't be happier. Beautiful boy. Everything fine."
The couple haven't yet revealed what they're going to name their new tot. Congrats to you both!

It’s been a good few days for the lovely Mr Robbie Williams - the Eternity singer emotionally announced his wife is pregnant and now it is believed the pair are expecting a baby girl!
According to the Daily Star, Ayda isn’t due to give birth until September but the happy couple have already started to think about baby names after revealing they will be having a girl.
Robbie and Ayda are said to be shortlisting girls’ names including Genevive, Alice and Roberta. We can’t help but think the latter reminds us of someone…
A source close to the Rock DJ singer told the Star: "He's always wanted to be a dad, so he's going all out so his new daughter will be treated like a princess."

The happy news comes as Mark Owen has also announced his wife is pregnant, making three out of five members of boy band Take That expecting babies this year. That’s an impressive feat, boys!

Reports have claimed that the actress is pregnant with her first child with husband Brian Austin Green…
According to reports from the US, Megan Fox is pregnant.
The Transformers star married Brian Austin Green in 2010 – he already has a 10-year-old child from a previous relationship, but if the reports are true, this will be Megan’s first.
Star magazine has quoted a source as saying: “They just found out and are incredibly excited.
“It's still early, so they are only telling close friends and family members.”
The source adds: “Megan has become a great stepmom, and Brian knows she'll be wonderful with the baby. She has really grown in the past couple of years. Megan used to only be concerned with her career, but now family comes first.”
Megan, 25, has previously discussed her desire to have kids with hubby Brian. She told Cosmopolitan magazine: “I want at least two, probably three [children]. I've always been maternal.”
The news has not yet been confirmed by Megan or her representative, but the magazine has claimed she is thrilled with the “unexpected” news.

The latest flurry of excitement through Celebland about a potential new celeb mummy regards This Means War star Reese Witherspoon.
Us Weekly has reported that the 35-year-old actress is expecting her third child - her first with husband Jim Toth - but she has yet to confirm it herself.
A source close to her told the American magazine: "Reese and Jim have been trying to get pregnant. Reese is right around 12 weeks but is not planning to announce it."
Hmm... if she's not planning to announce it, we'll just have to keep our beady eyes on her over the next few months! After a while, if she is expecting, she certainly won't be able to pass her baby belly off as pasta overload.
Reese married agent Jim last year and has discussed having children with him in previous interviews, admitting she would love it. She already has two children from her marriage to actor Ryan Phillippe.
