Could Tara Reid be the next Mrs Tom Cruise?

Ever since the surprise divorce of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes this summer, we've all been wondering: who will the next Mrs Cruise be? After all, any lady who dates the handsome actor has to be of a certain pedigree and be willing enough for the A-list levels of fame that come with wearing a wedding ring engraved with 'Tommy C 4Eva' (probably).

So, imagine our surprise (and delight) when we saw that Tom had spent an evening at the very same private members club as Tara Reid.

Can you think of a more unpredictable couple?

The two actors were both at Annabel's in London, although Tara was accompanied by her American Pie/Reunion co-star Thomas Ian Nicholas.

It's also been reported that the Top Gun star was seen leaving the club with a 'mystery woman' (we love how they're always referred to as a mystery, like they have some kind of bewitching powers that can mystify any human) on the night... so he probably wasn't partying with the former Celebrity Big Brother star.

However, we can dream. And we quite like the idea of such an unexpected couple, Tara and Tom. After all, when Katie and Tom first got together bad in the mid-noughties, we were definitely taken aback at their random relationship.

Who's to say that loose cannon party-girl Tara and charismatic Scientologist Tom wouldn't make a perfect couple? We'd quite like it anyway. That'd certainly get tongues wagging.

And we can't help but wonder what Tom would make of Tara's best mates Jedward...
