Anne Hathaway at the 'Les Miserables' New York Premiere

The 30-year-old had a bit of a fashion faux pas as she exited her chauffeured car outside Manhattan's famed Ziegfeld Theatre on Monday night. But with the assistance of the driver helping her out of the vehicle, even he couldn't hide the fact that Ms. Hathaway was going commando for her much anticipated movie premiere.

Photographers quickly snapped pictures as the slit in her gothic black Tom Ford dress revealed more than anyone needed to see. And although she may have forgotten her undergarments, she did accessorise her edgy frock with a puffed cape and matching bondage high heels with buckles that scaled up her thighs.

Looks like her priorities to cover up fell everywhere but her private parts.

Yet the new Mrs. Adam Shulman appeared to be completely unaware of her wardrobe malfunction and proceeded to walk the red carpet and pose for photos with her co-stars Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe and Amanda Seyfried by her side.

If it's any consolation for the former Catwoman, Hathaway isn't on her own when it comes to going out in public sans underwear.

She joins the company of female celebs who have run into similar trouble with invasive snappers. Who can forget when Britney Spears famously flashed photographers as she was getting out of a car in 2006. And not to mention both Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan have been caught out by the long lens of the paparazzi.
