Lenny Henry shows off Dawn French-alike new girlfriend

They say a lot of people date the same person again and in this case… it might just be true?

Lenny Henry certainly has a 'type'! The comic actor, 53, revealed his new girlfriend publicly at the Singin' In The Rain press night in London and she's a dead ringer for his ex-wife Dawn French.

Lenny, who split up from comedian Dawn after 25 years of marriage in 2010, was clearly enamoured with his new love Lisa Makin, a producer who was once named one of the UK's most powerful women back in 2009. They are said to have been dating for several months.

Dawn, meanwhile, has shed a whopping eight stone in weight over the past year or so since the divorce.

Unfortunately, it does mean that she looks very similar to her ex-husband's new girlfriend.

Spectators at the theatre event have claimed that Lenny and Lisa appeared very loved-up.

"I saw Lenny when he was leaving the auditorium with a woman and, for a moment, I thought it was the new slimmed-down Dawn French," the Daily Mail reports an onlooker as saying.

They continued: "Lisa was touchy feely with him. She was standing close to him and touching his arm a lot."

She must have money. The man is and never has been worth airtime in Britain nor anywhere else. Who ever got him the contract for a certain  Hotel chain has to be admired.

the new girl is NOTHING like Dawn French - his new girlfirend is stern and looks standoffish, Dawn has always been beautiful and her face shines warmth. Lenny, you have (sub) consciously tried to get Dawn back.....grow up and cast away your male menopause!¬¬¬

Well she might look like Dawn but she'll never have the same warmth and personality as Dawn ... and she really needs to invest in a full length mirror for when she gets dressed.  That outfit is horrendously unflattering!
