You expect nothing but glitz and glamour at the Cannes Film Festival. There were a couple of loose cannons this year, though.

Just one day after being spotted with girlfriend Kristen Stewart for the first time since their split this summer, Robert Pattinson was at a high-profile A-list event... but alone.
The hunky British actor took himself along to Elle's 19th Celebration of Women in Hollywood event and presented an award to his Bel Ami co-star Uma Thurman, who was one of the honourees at the swanky celebration.
During the event in Los Angeles, R-Patz was seen socialising with his other Twilight co-star Anna Kendrick, as well as actresses Jaime King and Uma.

On Sunday, Robert and Kristen were papped as a couple for the first time since they made amends following their split earlier this summer, so we can't help but wonder why he didn't take Kristen along as his date for the evening. Perhaps it was too soon - no doubt she feels a bit dubious about being at such a huge showbiz event when things are still tentative between them!
However, a few weeks ago it was rumoured that they had rekindled their relationship, and the famously moody actress looked happy and relaxed at Paris Fashion Week. She even cracked a smile!
Entertainment Tonight has now published a picture of the couple, taken on Sunday night outside a restaurant in Los Angeles.
According to soucres, R-Patz and K-Stew were in the Ye Rustic Inn for over four hours and were joined by nearly a dozen friends. Onlookers said they "cosied up to each other" and looked happy in each other's' company.

Other sources claimed they saw the Hollywood couple snuck into the garden from a private side entrance.
The news of their renewed romance comes just weeks before the pair are set to promote the final Twilight movie together, Breaking Dawn - Part 2.
Kristen recently admitted that she fears for her safety since her affair and that social media makes it easier for people to find out where she is.
"Nowadays it's harder because everyone is on Facebook and everyone knows where you are all the time, and everyone's twittering.
"Like I'm going to die because somebody is going to say where I am and somebody is going to kill me. Someone's going to Twitter my location and then it's going to be like, boom."
