The weather might have been a bit grey and chilly for mid-May, but the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry still made the best of it and headed to Berkshire for a charity polo match.
Princes William and Harry are dab hands at the sport, played on horses, and Kate went along with the boys to support them on their big day at the Audi Polo Challenge, held at Cowarth Park, Ascot.
However, the young royals weren't the only ones grabbing attention on the day...

cant believe how many bitter stupid people there are out there, the royals are the only good thing left to be proud of in this god forsaken country of ours with all the traditions and history that goes with them,that's why we get so many visitors comeing to see changeing of the gaurd,tower of london ect,and it's because they have'nt got it anymore or never had it to begin with.i'll tell you one thing i would pay to keep the royals any day, it's all the dead wieght we got to surport does my head in people that sit on there **** all day and expect to be kept and dont even get me on the ones that come from abroad for our benefits and taking our jobs putting a strain on our houseing nhs ect that's what you should bitch about.....

I love our Royal Family, they are an instituation for our country, they give us something to be proud of, nearly every other european country has got rid of there royals. We need to keep our country and be proud of what we have. Get rid of those who dont speak english and come with their hands out, send back all those who disagree with our way of life, we dont want or need them, if they dont like it here they dont have to stay, pls go back where you came from, let british folk continue to be british. Maybe we should be tougher like they are in Australia.

Well, Ive heard everything now, according to 'Someone' and Rosemarie Hare' the royal pair have nothing else better to do ? ? what have you done on your days off other than slag the royal pair off ? ? The royals work hard bring visitors to this country/ that girl has ngone from commoner to a life that will never ever be private again and why ? Kate is 1000% in love with Wills. so get a life and im directing this to Someone and Rosemarie Hare I'd love to see if you could do it.

They are a lovely couple. Re-someone you say they are all commoners. Their Mother Princess Diana had a longer lineage than ALL the rest of royal family put together. She was descended from the old ENGLISH Kings. The only 'commoner' is Kate. However she shows more regality than any born royalty. She is clearly deeply in love with William as he is with her, unlike his wayward Father. He should be our next Monarch NOT Charles. The queens uncle was kicked off the throne for his loving a divorcee, and he wasnt married, so whats good for one should be good for another.Charles was dishonest with his sham marriage and broke a young and caring girls heart. For her to be castigated when she tried to find love elsewhere AFTER his infidelities. We should be proud of our future King and Queen William and Kate. Most of the so called british who moan about OUR royalty are probably not even from English or even British lineage. Just second or third generation. The TRUE British WANT their royal family. I dont want a dictator or someone who gets in power because of his/her money. We could end up like USA with actors/popstars or any old rubbish as head of our state. NO WAY. WE ARE BRITISH with a good tradition going back centuries. The more negative comments you read the more you become convinced that William and Kate are probably the ONLY normal decent people around. I've never heard so much outdated prejudice from Republican's who feed off there own insecurities and project them onto the Royals. It's the republicans who are a disgrace. Over 80-90 percent of the British people want to keep the Monarchy. Its easy to see why the Commentator below called for revolution. Thousands of lives lost and acres of spilled blood would be the only way you could force a Republic. And what kind of republic would it be? A Stalinist state.

I think the Royals choice of dog breed is great, its fantastic that they have taken on the British love of mans (and womans) best friend.
I am so glade they didn't get the King Charles Spaniel, which was commented by others, as it is nothing like the breed kings of old used to own. The currant breed is a mess with inherited problems and genetic defects.
Lets just be happy for them.

You are attacking the wrong people Mr.t. robinson.Sounds like you have nothing much else to do. At a guess I would say you have never been in the forces anyway and if you come back on here saying otherwise I for one would not believe you. There's a big difference in making a real valid comment and and sounding like some old sour puss. I would believe though that you had something to do with joining in the riots with a bit of vandalism and theft as that is how you are making yourself sound. Get off your own high horse and do something about our overpopulation with immigrants that cost us 200 billion pounds this year alone that's without free housing, food and medical costs added on. Do yourself and us a favour, take and direct your complaints to the right places like your local council and MP as this stuff is trivial matter.

They are a true iconic British treasure and I am glad we are one of the few countries who have really held onto our royal family and traditions. Unfortunately, people in this country these days would rather look up to chavs like Cheryl Cole and Tulisa whats her face, these are the people who do no work and get paid for it...the royals bring a lot of money into this country and work, and help charities. These are who we should be looking up to, not tanned up chavs with no talent what so ever!

The world loves our royals especially the young ones...its hard to see the benefit when the country is in such crisis, that they contribute to our society. But truth is they DO bring in vast amounts of tourism and although they do live privileged lives, which one of us would swap? I mean seriously swap our own privacy, autonomy, life choices for a life completely in the public eye where every move is watched by the world?? I know I wouldn't.
