Nicole Scherzinger took the night off from her X Factor USA duties to come and warble at the 99th Royal Variety Performance, held this year in Salford, Manchester.

She joined the cast of The Phantom Of The Opera on stage - earlier in the evening she'd gone for dinner with Andrew Lloyd Webber himself!

They did what to the Royal Variety show...? Rock...? Sorry but there is no way on earth that whatever it is that Nicole Scherzinger does can be called rock . Admitted she does look very hot & sexy, but odds on  sounds truly awful as always despite lip syncing as this lot always do when allegedly singing live. It really says it all that even with the latest technical trickery that acts like this still sound off key and out of tune on their singles and albums so god only knows how bad they would sound if they actually resorted to singing live at this sort of thing - it just doesn't bear thinking about.
